Children's University

Just imagine: CEO Hannes Ametsreiter and athlete Fritz Strobl explore together why there are logos on ski slopes and children ask them "How do you run a company?”. This is a just one example of the exciting and versatile courses at the Children’s University Vienna (KinderuniWien), which we have been happy to support for years.

Every year around 3,500 children aged 7 to 12 enrol at the Children's University - an initiative by the University of Vienna - and choose their classes from more than 300 courses. Children may explore different fields such as science, technology, medicine, art and life sciences.  A1 has been a supporter of this initiative since the very beginning. This concept is already spreading: KinderuniVienna coordinates the "European Children’s University Network".

KinderuniWien 2011: "In Bits & Bytes – How can I get on the Internet?"

This year's KinderuniWien will take place from July 11-23. "You can get on the Internet with a smartphone, a tablet or a computer. Always online, no matter where you are?  What is really behind www? Servers and cables connect us with the whole world. What is Internet infrastructure like?" On July 19th A1 CEO Hannes Ametsreiter will take students from KinderuniWien on an exciting trip to the digital world.
