A1 is an active partner in the Energy Task Team of ETNO (European Telecommunications Network Operators Association) and a founding member of EE IOCG, the Energy Efficiency Inter-Operator Collaboration Group. In November 2009 the fixed net segment was the first Austrian company to sign the Code of Conduct on Data Centre Energy Efficiency, an EU benchmark system for reducing energy consumption and raising energy efficiency.
