Hot-Spot Exhaust Ventilation

By using exterior air-cooling with the so-called hot spot suction extraction system, energy efficiency can be increased and an important contribution can be made to climate protection. In addition, this method raises the availability and life cycle of equipment and reduces the maintenance needed compared to traditional equipment concepts. Within the scope of the climate protection campaign "klima:aktiv" by the Life Ministry, "Hot Spot Absaugung" won the award for the Best Practice Project in December 2009.

Hot spot suction extraction is also implemented with new equipment on an on-going basis, as well as adapting it to existing equipment step by step. By implementing "Hot-Spot-Absaugung" Austria-wide a savings potential in electric power consumption of roughly 4,500 MWh per year can be assumed.
