Hannes Ametsreiter
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) A1
Hannes Ametsreiter was born in Salzburg in 1967. He studied journalism and communication studies in Salzburg, in addition to sport science. After completing his doctorate, he continued his academic education with an MBA at Pepperdine University in the USA.
Hannes Ametsreiter began his professional career as an international brand manager with Procter & Gamble. In 1996 he started his career in the telecommunications sector, working in product management for mobilkom austria. From January 2001 to March 2009 Hannes Ametsreiter was CMO at mobilkom austria AG. From July 2005 to June 2006 he held the position of CMO at Mobiltel in Bulgaria.
Finally, Ametsreiter was Chief Executive Officer of the Telekom Austria Group, Telekom Austria TA AG and mobilkom austria AG. Hannes Ametsreiter remains CEO of the Telekom Austria Group and as of July 8, 2010 he is also CEO of A1 Telekom Austria AG.
Siegfried Mayrhofer
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) A1
Siegfried Mayrhofer, born 1967 in Vöcklabruck, studied engineering management and mechanical engineering at the Graz University of Technology.
He began his professional career in 1994 at Voest Alpine Eisenbahnsysteme in the area of international acquisitions. From 1998 to 2000 he assisted Constantia Corporate Finance Mergers & Acquisitions in various areas as a consultant.
Siegfried Mayrhofer began his career at Telekom Austria in March 2000. After holding various management positions (Head of Corporate Planning and Group Controlling, Controlling Fixed Net, Accounting Fixed Net) he was appointed CFO of Telekom Austria TA AG. As of July 8, 2010 Siegfried Mayrhofer is Chief Financial Officer of A1 Telekom Austria AG.
Walter Goldenits
Chief Technical Officer (CTO) A1
Walter Goldenits was born in 1970. He studied technical mathematics in Vienna and graduated from a management training program in St. Gallen.
Walter Goldenits' career took him from Landis&Gyr, where he was project manager, to mobilkom austria AG in 1998. He became head of the IT department in 2003. From 2007 to 2008 he held the position of CTO at si.mobil, the second largest mobile communications operator in Slovenia and part of the Telekom Austria Group.
As of September 2008 Goldenits headed the departments Network Planning and ICT at Telekom Austria TA AG; in January 2009 he was appointed CTO. As of July 8, 2010 he is Chief Technical Officer of A1 Telekom Austria AG.
Alexander Sperl, MBA
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) A1Alexander Sperl was born in 1971 and graduated from a commercial academy in Vienna. Subsequently he earned a Bachelor's Degree (with a major in finance) and an MBA in international business administration at Hawaii Pacific University (USA).
After a number of years in brand management at Procter & Gamble in Austria and Switzerland as well as at Microsoft in Germany and the USA, he moved to mobilkom austria in 2000, from 2004 he was Marketing Director.
Alexander Sperl was able to bring his international experience into two companies in the Telekom Austria Group: as Marketing and Sales Director at Si.mobil in Slovenia and since December 2006 as CEO and CMO at Vip mobile in Serbia. Since August 2010 he is Chief Commercial Officer of A1 Telekom Austria AG.
