In the area of m.Commerce or payment via mobile phone, A1 has been an international pioneer for the past 10 years. The “Global M-Payment Report Update 2009” by Arthur D. Little confirms: along with Japan, South Korea and Singapore Austria is leading in mobile payments. The most successful application is parking via mobile phone. Every 3rd parking ticket is purchased in Vienna via mobile, and the trend is rising.
